Fans were left wondering as to why they haven’t been able to laugh at Tottenham’s hilarious balls up last night, after the north London side continued to be awesome. Gareth Bale’s two goals against Norwich left Spurs as serious title contenders with many on-lookers questioning ‘what’s the deal here?’.
Former Spurs captain Gary Mabbutt claimed the current run of form was most disrespectful to the club’s great history. He claimed ‘these players are abandoning traditions and running a mockery with success. By now, somebody like Ian Walker should’ve flapped at a couple of crosses and started a run of terrible, terrible form.’
Mabbutt continued ‘Christmas is usually a perfect opportunity to sit back and watch the plummet unfold but somehow we’ve let Arsenal get better at it than us. I blame Bale, and his intriguing cheeks. And possibly Brad Friedel, since when was it ok for a Spurs keeper to catch the ball?’
