Sir Alex Ferguson has clamped down on Manchester United stars buying overpriced super cars saying the car park at old Trafford is beginning to look like a ‘prop room for a c*** rapper’s music video.’ Ferguson was referring to players such as Dimitar Berbatov and Antonio Valencia who recently rolled up in a Boeing 747 and Apollo 15 respectively.

The Scotsman said ‘the M62 is a lot of things, but one thing it isn’t is a runway. And one thing Gary Neville can not handle is air traffic control. It’s just getting ridiculous now, even Patrice Evra said he was in the market for a second hand Batmobile, the guys 3foot2 for f**** sake! He makes a Nissan Micra look roomy!’

The United boss went on to claim that players should take advantage of the deal struck with Audi to provide free top of the range models to the club. ‘In a time of great recession the last thing these players need is to go out and buy their own super car, it’s difficult enough to rub along as it is. Save the £200,000 and spend it on something useful, like paying for Sheryl Cole and Shakira to mud wrestle or something.‘
